I’m a technology professional, systems builder, worship leader, and musician. For more than twenty years, I’ve worked in technology, helping people make sense of the tools they depend on.
Through Focus Matters, I share practical technology guidance, build workflows that make everyday work easier, and write about faith, worship, and the things that deserve our attention. My work brings together solving problems, creating useful systems, and helping people turn their attention toward Jesus.

What connects the work
Across those parts of my life, I keep coming back to the same thing: helping people focus on what matters and making room for them to act on it.
In technology, that means looking beyond the next piece of software. I care about who owns the next step, where useful information lives, and whether a system still makes sense when the person who built it is not in the room. The articles and Build Notes here come from that practical approach.
More than a decade of leading worship has shaped how I serve people, too. For me, it begins with listening, paying attention to the room, and helping people turn toward Jesus through music, prayer, and shared worship.
Focus Matters brings that work together. It is a place to share what I am building and learning, and to keep asking what deserves our attention—and who we become through the choices we make each day.
